Trayvoning Groups On Facebook

ellydwerewolf:

nuestrahermana:

We’ve all seeing the disgusting pictures of people “Trayvoning” on tumblr, the people who say it’s just a joke and the countless others who think it isn’t funny at all.

Sadly, there is also Facebook where there are a few groups who call themselves “sports teams” “professional sport leagues” and “community groups”. There’s more images, people who “like” these groups and so much blatant racism in these groups that I have to ask that people please report them so they be shut down.

report the fuck out of this shit

Police arrest 6-year-old girl‏
~~~~~~
Salecia Johnson is six years old. On April 13, her teachers say she had a temper tantrum in class — but instead of putting her in time-out, the school called the police.
Salecia was handcuffed, charged with battery, and kept in police custody for an hour before her parents found out what was going on. Though all charges have been dropped, Salecia — a 6-year-old —  now has an arrest record.
Salecia’s mom, Constance, says that “Salecia has been traumatized by this experience. She’s afraid to return to school and recently woke up in the middle of the night saying ‘they are coming to get me.’” Constance wants to make sure that this incident won’t affect Salecia’s future, and she wants answers about why police officers were involved in the first place.
So Constance started a petition on Change.org demanding that Salecia’s arrest be removed from her record and that Creekside Elementary pledge to stop involving police in school discipline.
Click here to add your name.
Constance believes that what happened to Salecia is part of a larger problem. Schools across America are adopting “zero-tolerance” policies that are making police involvement in school disciplinary matters more and more common, according to the Advancement Project, a group working with Constance’s family.
If thousands of people sign Constance’s petition, the police and the officials at Creekside Elementary will see that they can’t arrest and handcuff a six-year-old girl without facing public consequences. Schools around the country will take notice — and Constance hopes there won’t be another child that faces what Salecia did.
I tweeted about this today.  It is inexcusable.
She’s six. SIX. ATTENTION TEACHERS: CHILDREN HAVE TEMPER TANTRUMS. THAT’S NO EXCUSE TO CALL THE POLICE. For fucks sake, this poor kid.
I heard about this on the news the other and felt sick. SHE SIX YEARS OLD. YOU DO NOT ARREST A SIX YEAR OLD NO MATTER HOW BAD THEIR TANTRUM GETS.
THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT?! ARE WE A POLICE STATE? WE ARREST 6 YEAR OLDS? THE TEACHER NEEDS A GODDAMN PUNCH IN THE MOUTH. 6 YEARS OLD. HOW ABOUT THE DAMN COPS, WHAT POSSIBLE EXCUSE COULD THEY HAVE? HOW DO YOU MIRANDIZE A FUCKING 6 YEAR OLD? FUCK ALL OF THOSE PEOPLE.
May God (any god) bless that little girl. I sincerely hope she receives treatment for what will probably become an full-blown case of PTSD.
(( Shit, I didn’t want to do this, but I’m out of options.
As most of you know, I don’t work due to ongoing daily agony (imagine, men, someone twisting your balls constantly; women, imagine the worst period pain ever then multiply by ten).  We’ve been living off my fiancee’s wages entirely, and we’ve been doing all right so long as she gets as many hours as she can (she’s not full-time, no one at that store is).
Two steps forward, four steps back: her manager has been cutting her hours under the pretense of “labor costs” (which all of us who worked there know means “I’m not making enough in my bonus so you guys are going to lose hours so I make more”) and as of this week she isn’t going to be making enough to come anywhere close to paying our bills.  Including rent.  She’s already talked to the manager several times about trying to increase her hours with no luck.
All of my income comes from commission work.  If I can make $500 this month, I can pay our bills and we won’t be evicted.  If I can handle this for her, there are two places where we have friends that can pull strings and get her a new, better job, but she wouldn’t get a first check until the end of the month, which would see us on the street.  None of our parents can take us in (hers are 300 miles away, mine are already stretched too thin).
If anyone out there can help us, I would be deeply in your debt.  I will gladly do commissions, hell I can even make custom brushable ponies.  You can contact me through my deviantART, through my FurAffinity, or through email at greeneagle75 at gmail dot com.  If you want to donate, there’s a button on the blog.
I’m not expecting everyone to help, I know times are tough for everyone, but I just don’t know where else to turn. ))
In just one week the city of Saint Petersburg could pass an outrageous bill that will make it a crime to read, write, speak or meet to discuss anything considered “Gay”. St. Petersburg is one of Russia’s number one tourist destinations. That’s why an international storm of bad publicity will force the Governor to think twice about the cost of signing this bill.
[Sign Here]
I’m posting this again because this is important.  There is legislation similar to this bill already making it’s way through Tennessee in the USA, if Russia is able to successfully pass this into law, other countries including America will follow suit trying to pass similar legislation.
This bill creates the potential to be fined thousands of dollars for being caught reading, writing, speaking or doing anything that the government considers Gay.  It makes Gay, Queer, Trans* things criminal.
Yesterday tumblr was able to produce over 10,000 signatures in 24 hours, today only about 1,000 signatures were made.
Just because you are American or any other nationality doesn’t mean you shouldn’t sign this, because if this passes into law in Russia the threat of it coming to the USA or any other country and being passed into law there becomes very real.
So TL;DR:  Sign and reblog this, it’s important.
Okay, forget everything I have ever complained about or told you to do, politically. Forget if you don’t read political posts. Stop. WATCH/READ THIS RIGHT NOW.
For those of you who for some reason cannot or do not want to watch the video, allow me to…
I’ve experienced this procedure and I can honestly say it is rape, it feels like rape, and I cried after it. It was more of a slap in the face than the first time I was raped. Please read and spread the word.
Bombing this poll won’t change the bigoted opinions of americans, but if you want to, here is the link to the poll.
This poll is horribly phrased and the option that is getting the most votes DOESN’T EVEN ANSWER THE FREAKING QUESTION. But still, tumblr? You know what to do.
Blow it up, Tumblr. We’re making a dent.
